Used the https to connect GIT repository, but got error: Unknown option: -c

Question

I was trying to setup up a GIT respository in Bamboo build plan by using this format:

https://host.xz[:port]/path/to/repo.git

But it cannot connect with the errow below:

We couldn't connect to the repository. Here's what we got back:

Unknown option: -c
usage: git [--version] [--exec-path[=GIT_EXEC_PATH]] [--html-path]
           [-p|--paginate|--no-pager] [--no-replace-objects]
           [--bare] [--git-dir=GIT_DIR] [--work-tree=GIT_WORK_TREE]
           [--help] COMMAND [ARGS]

Git 1.8.5 and later is supported as per the official documentation.

Thanks for your replay. The Bamboo version is 6.10.2 build 61006.  What is the compatible version of GIT ? Thanks.

Sounds like you're not running a supported version of Git. Check that doc for the version of Bamboo you are running.
