Trello - Jira Integration issues

we are trying to hook up the Trello / Jira integration and are running into issues with it recognizing an existing user in Jira.    Has anyone else run into this problem?   We're wondering if it has to do with Jira being a SSO application and so it's not recognizing the user name and password that have already been set up.

Also note, the URL that links to our instance of Jira is jira.our-domain.com NOT atlassian.net although when we change the URL to that format it recognizes it.  I don't think this matters as I'm pretty sure this is an SSO issue.

Are you using Jira Power-up on Trello?  This allows you to:

When you say it's "not recognizing an existing user in jira"... are you talking about he's having login issues?  Also check to see if the user that is not being recognized has a different username (or email with atlassian) in Jira vs. Trello.
