Members are removing themselves from Trello cards but they keep reappearing - anyone any idea why?

Question

When a card has many members completing a task, members take themselves off the card as they do their piece, so they no longer get chased on activities that are no longer relevant to them.

But at the moment, when someone takes themselves off (and can see that they are no longer on the card), when they move away from the board and then come back to it, or review the cards linked to their profile, they are back on the card.

Any ideas?

Again, in the activity section of the card, removals are only shown when they are removed in the mobile version not in the web version.

We currently only have Chrome in the office (well, we do also have Internet Explorer 11, but we can't use Trello on that anyway).

You should have a trace in the section Activity in the card and in the boardmenu for each added or removed member.

Have you tried with several web browsers ?

Having played more, the issue is in the web version.

In the mobile app the removals show in the activity log (on both the web and mobile versions) and remain removed.

In the web version, the members are shown as removed on the card but the removal does not appear in the activity log and when the page is refreshed the members return.
