Using Sourcetree Add repository which cloned by Git command

Dear there,

I am doing some experiment that switch using Git command line and Sourcetree to manage my repository, I had cloned a local repository from bitbucket, when I open Sourcetree to try to Add the local repository I encountered the Git failed with code 128: this operation must run in a work tree. I tried below commands but it did not work.

del .git\index

git reset

Does anyone have idea to solve this problem?

Thank you. Using Sourcetree to clone the repository will work, but still want to know how to add an existing local repository to Bitbucket. Another scenario is I cloned the repository using Bitbucket, then I close the repository tab on Sourcetree, when I tried to add the local repository back to Sourcetree, it does not work, it does not make sense, right?
