How can I use ticked checklist items for reporting and analysis?

If I have a checklist that has the following items for example, granted, signed, paid etc., how can I do some analysis to report on the total number that are paid, signed etc.? Ideally I could select a checkbox item and be given a report on all cards that have that item ticked. Thanks

@Rob M here is a Trellinator function that will work as follows:

When an item is marked complete on a card called "Checklist Reporting" the item will be marked as incomplete and then a comment will be posted telling you how many other cards on the board have a checklist item with the same name, in a checklist with the same name, complete
