all files are in unstaged area

Question

Hi,

I have an issue that all files even the ones that are not modified are in the unstaged area. I have selected "pending files" and I have tried to select "modified files" but both show all files.

It is the first time that I upload anything to a fork.

I have copied all files (edited and unedited) from the location that I work to the GitHub location.

how can I let Sourcetree only show actual files that have been modified?

Facing the same issue

Git status saying

Your branch is up to date with 'origin/XXXXXX'.

nothing to commit, working tree clean

Hi

First I would use the Terminal and >Git status to confirm what Git thinks has changed.

Sourcetree should only reflect the same information.

Situations like yours can arise when line feeds change between Windows and mac/Linux repositories. In these cases the white space  changes might not be shown. In the Cig check it whitespace changes are being ignored.
