Voting Power-Up Does Not Show Up in Slack Integration with Cards

Question

As the title says: if you enable the Voting Power-Up on a Trello board, and then use the Slack integration to /trello [card URL], the Quick Action list that gets displayed in Slack does not include "Vote" as an action.  I'm sure this is a feature request, but it sure would be useful for quick team voting.  Thanks!

Following up on this request, which is now in kindergarten! My how time flies.

Is there a way to develop this on my own? The challenge as I see it is that the Slack integration in Trello has a pre-built set of messages that it can send, and here I mean you have done a great job of understanding the format of Slack messages and how they are constructed. They unfurl very nicely in Slack. Wonderful!

I can join a card by using the "Quick actions" drop-down in the unfurled card in Slack, so that tells me there is both an ability to call a REST API after selecting that action, and an API on Trello that adds me to the card.

I see that there's an API method that can add a member's vote to a card. We're almost there.

For my own selfish purposes, I know that the voting powerup is enabled. For your purposes of modifying the Slack integration, you would need to check at the board level and then conditionally modify the options in the Quick actions drop-down. Fortunately there's an API method that returns a list of enabled plugins on the board.

All that remains if I were to build this myself would be to create a custom function that sends the message to Slack. That would require me to recreate all of the work you've done for your wonderful unfurling cards.

Can you please add this feature request to your development cycle?

I haven't heard anything about this feature request since Denise's comment below. It would still be very useful! It's not too late, even if it did celebrate its third birthday! 😂 😭

Hi @Todd Lewis I was wondering if you got any news regarding this or found a workaround. Thanks!
