Why is the iframe required? How can I simply hit the API in a headless fashion?

I really have to stand up a little frontend site in order to hit this API? Am I missing something? I have no interest in anything but the data itself. I have no frontend. Why do I need to include a frontend site?

You probably reading the page about generating a token. It was presented in the context of a power up so the reference to an iframe. There is no need for an iframe. Use the api with the Api key and token as query parameters in a http request.
