I use Trello for personal tasks only. Can I automatically assign all cards to myself?

I use Trello to organize everything outside of work. All my boards are just for me. Assigning myself to every card I create is cumbersome and adds unnecessary info/bulk to each card.

Is there a way to set my boards to apply to “Just Me” beyond the existing privacy settings?

@Iain Dooley I'm a few years late, but thanks for sharing. That's an interesting blog post, and I'm trying this idea now.

I'd be curious how you typically move cards onto and off of your shortlist. There's a short, helpful article here on setting up automation to move cards between boards which I'm using for now: Link multiple Trello boards with this neat trick.

@Julie Parham you might like this article I wrote on task prioritisation in Trello:

when you need a separate board just paste the link to that board into a card title on your main board, that way your main board is your “my tasks” list, the bulk of your tasks are on that board and any other boards are off shoots from it.
