How do i connect trello to an agent within ChatGPT or Claude?

I am trying to connect trello to my chief of staff agents in ChatGPT or Claude and there doesn't appear to be an easy connection, similar to other programs.  Does anyone have any suggestions other than creating a MCP server?

Currently, Trello doesn’t have a built-in way to connect to agents.
You can try looking for a power-up that might support this:  https://trello.com/power-ups 

or use the Trello API: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/trello/rest/api-group-cards/#api-cards-id-get
