The little popup that appears when you type a "/" without leading text (like when you're starting a UNIX path) is absolutely annoying.
If you enter a space and it's not a valid match, it will put the raw text down. HOWEVER, other processing can occur, and it will try to find hyperlinks etc.
For example typing /etc/profile.d/stata.sh
without code blocks in a comment will result in:
/etc/profile.d/stata.sh
Even worse, /w
which I use as a shorthand for "with" all the time ends up replaced with what seems like a blank line.
I'm not sure how long this behavior has been around, but I only recently noticed it and I absolutely despise it.
