Option to disable keyboard shortcuts is now available on Trello

Hi Trello Community,

Keyboard shortcuts are designed to give people the ability to quickly execute tasks quickly and navigate through Trello more efficiently. However, we’ve heard feedback that not everyone prefers to have those keyboard shortcuts set up. Based on your feedback, we’re introducing the option to disable all keyboard shortcuts from your Trello experience.

Ready to give it a try? 🛠️

Head on over to https://trello.com/shortcuts or while on any Trello board type in shift+ / (for the ? key) and click the toggle to disable keyboard shortcuts.

The setting can also be toggled in the Personal Settings page. Click on your profile icon in the top right header and click the Settings button under the Trello section.

Navigate to the Accessibility section to Disable keyboard shortcuts!

We have a few more improvements to our keyboard shortcuts in the works and welcome any feedback as we continue to update this space. What about fixing the layout that you destroyed with your UI redesign?

Very exciting, but this seems to disable all of the shortcuts.  I must use F for filter 100 times a day.

Please remove "c" for archive, it is insane that this exists.

Really big fan of all of the shortcuts except for the letter c for archiving cards.

Typing @card is something that happens all the time and if the system lags for even a millisecond with the @....it takes the c and off goes the card.

It does say in the article that it disables them....

I agree with the "c" for archive, although archive is reversible, it would make more sense for the shortcut to be "shift+c" for safety. It will still be effective for people who use it regularly but also avoids accidental actions

As a Trello consultant, I'd say over the years it is about 70/30 split in favour of not using shortcuts but that 30% who have learned them are way more efficient as a result.  I couldn't live without the keyboard shortcuts.
