Verification process conflicting with Google domain verification

Hello, my company has a statuspage which we are trying to verify domain ownership on for google.

I'm having a bit of a conflict though between the verification from Atlassian and Google since Atlassian requires a CNAME record for my domain and Google needs a TXT record for that same domain. And since you can't have both a CNAME and TXT record for the same domain I'm a bit puzzled on how to solve this.

I was hoping someone else has encountered this issue and has found a solution!

Hey Adam,
Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

Looking at the Google doc you provided, we see this:

You can verify ownership of root domains (example.com) or subdomains (m.example.com). Verifying ownership of a root domain automatically verifies ownership of all subdomains, but verifying ownership of a subdomain does not verify ownership of a parent domain. For example: verifying ownership of m.example.com also verifies ownership of pets.m.example.com, but does not verify ownership of example.com.

Could you use a subdomain for the Statuspage to set the CNAME, and verify the root domain in Google with the TXT?

Best Regards,
Egor
