HI I need to setup 2 repository in the same workspace in Sourcetree.
so there will be 3 section to work on. One is the Master, Develop and the other one is Dev
here Master is one repo and Dev will be another repo. So after working on the Develop branch I want to merge it to the Dev repo to test the changes in dev mode.
Then everything ok then merge to master from the develop branch.
Let me know thanks.
Hi
If you are using different repositories then you are effectively working as if you have formed one from the other. As such you would need to set up each repository as a remote of the other and then you can pull from one into another.
But what not just use branches?
HI Michael,
Thanks for the reply. It was my mistake, Creating branches will do I think.
I need a setup like this;
dev - pointing to a remote site hosted a different domain
master - pointing to my production site
develop - pointing to my local git
Everytime I work first I need to check locally, if ok then merge it to dev which is in different server. After getting checked by the managers/ requesters finally I merge it to the master/ production branch.
Just need to know how will I be able to do that.
Also If possible if I can do it using source tree.
Please let me know.

Hi
I think you might want to try git-flow, it is built into Sourcetree
