Rovo for Gemini Enterprise

Introducing The Atlassian Rovo Agent for Gemini Enterprise, powered by A2A

Atlassian Rovo is Atlassian’s AI that understands your projects, people, code, and history so it can bring real-time context to every workflow across your Atlassian apps and integrated tools.

Today, we’re excited to bring that intelligence directly into Google’s Gemini Enterprise so teams can ship faster, decide smarter, and find what they need without leaving Gemini Enterprise.

Atlassian Rovo is an enterprise agent that brings real-time understanding of your organization's teamwork into Gemini Enterprise; so teams can get answers, make decisions, and take action without leaving Gemini Enterprise.

By securely connecting Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian's Teamwork Graph, Rovo transforms Gemini into a work-aware AI partner grounded in your business context; not just general knowledge.

Built on the open Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol, Rovo enables seamless, governed interaction between AI systems and your enterprise tools.

What this means in practice

🔹 Instantly understand project status, blockers, decisions, and ownership; grounded in your actual data

Ask: "What's the current status of the mobile checkout redesign, and are there any blockers I should know about?"

Rovo delivers: Real-time project status pulled directly from your Jira epics and issues; including active blockers, ownership, and sprint health; so you walk into every meeting already knowing what's at risk, without having to chase anyone down.

🔹 Take action without switching tools

Ask: "Create a Jira bug for the login timeout issue, assign it to Anya Patel, mark it high priority, and add it to the current sprint."

Rovo delivers: Rovo takes the action for you - creating, assigning, and triaging the issue without you ever leaving Gemini. What used to take four clicks across two tabs takes one sentence.

🔹 Find knowledge faster

Ask: "What did we decide about our EU data retention policy last quarter?"

Rovo delivers: Rovo surfaces the exact Confluence decision record, the key outcome, and any follow-up flags; cutting through the noise of search results and outdated docs to give you the answer, not just a list of links

🔹 Use Teamwork Graph insights to understand owners, teams, and dependencies

Ask: "Who owns the API rate limiting work, which team is responsible, and what depends on it?"

Rovo Delivers: Rovo maps ownership, team structure, and cross-team dependencies using the Teamwork Graph; giving you the full picture of how work is connected across your org, not just a single ticket view.

🔹 Generate context-enriched summaries and reports within seconds

Ask: "Give me an exec summary of what the Growth team shipped this sprint and what's carrying over."

Rovo Delivers: A structured, ready-to-share sprint summary drawn from live Jira data - completed work, carryovers, and velocity - in seconds. No standing up a scrum master, no digging through boards.

This integration is ideal for organizations that:

  • Standardize on Gemini Enterprise as the primary AI assistant across Google.

  • Rely on Jira and Confluence for product development, operations, or customer service work.

  • Use both Google and Atlassian to get work done, ensuring every decision is backed by context-aware reasoning.

Rovo is available for Atlassian Cloud customers and deployable via Google Cloud Marketplace.

Curious how teams are using Rovo with Gemini today? Drop your questions below or share how you’re thinking about bringing AI into your workflows.

This is an interesting development, @Julien Bassan .

Any plans to bring this sort of capability into other platforms (e.g. Microsoft, Salesforce, etc.)?

Great @Julien Bassan

I just tried it in Codex through Rovo MCP Server, but couldn't get Rovo discovered directly in Codex currently.

i tried this integration to implement A2A, at Gemini chatbot/agent side, all the Jira spaces can be retrieved, but it can’t get any specific Jira work item information. I let Atlassian Rovo try a lot, but still failed. Anyone has the same bad experience in our first try?
