When looking at an idea in Jira Product Discovery, we can only see 4 fields from the Jira work item (type, ID, title and status) in the Delivery view. It would be very helpful if we could have the option to display other fields from each work item (story or task) in the Delivery view.
In particular, we would like to be able to view the sprint each story or task is slated for on the product backlog. This would allow our business partners to have visibility into when we plan to implement the idea (see mockup below).
Is there any way we can accomplish this?
Hi @Anne_Bugenstein welcome!
Currently, Jira Product Discovery’s Delivery view only shows a limited set of fields (type, ID, title, and status) for linked Jira Software issues, and there’s no built-in way to add fields like Sprint directly. To achieve similar visibility, you can create custom views in Product Discovery and sync key data into idea fields, use Jira Automation to update a custom field on the idea whenever the linked issue’s Sprint changes, or leverage Advanced Roadmaps or dashboards to combine ideas with linked issues and their details.
hope this helps!
Thanks for raising this @Anne_Bugenstein
As @Christos Markoulatos pointed out, this is currently not possible today and I recommend to follow his recommended approach.
We are investing in better integrations with Jira, things like providing more context on delivery work is on the cards. I recommend keeping an eye out on our public roadmap to find out what's coming up next.
Kind regards,
Jet
