Hey Atlassian Community π
We're excited to share that Funds, financial planning and tracking, is now generally available in the same place your strategy lives, Focus, for all Strategy Collection customers.
Portfolio leaders have always had two separate problems: financial data lives in one system, and the work it's funding lives in another. So reconciling spend against delivery happens too late, usually at quarter-end, when there's little left to do about it.

Funds brings budgets, actual and forecasted costs, and benefits directly into the Focus areas where your work, goals, and teams already live. Instead of jumping between systems, you see the full picture in one place, and you can spot drift while there's still time to act.
A dedicated Funds tab on every Focus area shows your budget, actuals, baseline, and forecast together, with cost items linked directly to the Jira work they fund. CapEx vs. OpEx, multi-currency, labor vs. non-labor: it's all there, customizable to how your organization tracks spend.
Variance vs. baseline updates live as you import actuals and re-forecast. Use the time window control to zoom from fiscal year to a single quarter, then ask Rovo where the variance is coming from. Spot a cost line running hot, and you can tag the owner in a comment right there on the Funds tab to investigate, while there's still quarter left to act.
Track benefits (revenue gains, cost savings, or custom types you define) alongside costs, linked to the same Jira work items driving delivery. Are your investments paying off as you planned? Compare benefits realized against costs incurred for the same time window, ready to drop into your next MBR or QBR.
Ask Rovo to summarize financial performance and explain variance across your Focus areas. Rovo reads your live financial and delivery data and answers in plain language, so you don't have to build the analysis yourself. Available in Beta at launch.
Funds isn't a financial system of record. Your source of truth stays where it is today. What Funds does is bring those numbers next to the work and goals they're funding, connected through the Teamwork Graph with live Jira and Goals data.
This connection makes the difference. Other portfolio tools have financial modules. Funds sits where investment decisions are made and where the work that delivers on them is tracked, so cost, benefit, and delivery share one live picture. And because they share one model, Rovo can answer the strategic questions: where your investments are going, and whether they are paying off.

Actuals come from other sources via CSV, REST API, or manual entry. Estimating actuals from Jira delivery is on the roadmap.
Funds is rolling out this week to all Strategy Collection customers. If you're an admin, open any Focus area, select the Funds tab, and start building out your financial picture. If you're a user, ask your admin for access.
