Fisheye/Crucible: Can't I have a diff even if crucible doesn't recognize the file extension?

Question

Our code base has lots and lots of files of various filename extentions.

I wish the filename.map file allowed me to have a catch all for unrecognized files but still diff them as plain text with no syntax highlighting.

If crucible doesn't recognize the filename extention it doesn't provide a diff - it just provides two links to the different files. But the diff is critical for a code review.

2 things seem odd about this:  
1. Why isn't editable in the admin screens?
2. If it must be in a file, shouldn't it exist off of the FISHEYE_CONFIG directory instead of the Installation directory?  Otherwise won't we need to edit this after every upgrade?

Hi Dan,

You should be able to define this by setting the extensions you want to be recognized as text in the raw-mime.types file under your FishEye install directory. Could you please check if this works? Please attend to restart FishEye after setting it.

What type of repository is this? For a SVN repository, for example, you could also set a svn:mime-type property, defining a file as, for instance, text/plain.
