What to look forward to in Crowd 7.0

This new version of Crowd, is packed with features and changes:

• Struts and Spring and other core dependencies were upgrade

• Updated the list of Supported Platforms

• Changes to backup and restore process
• Crowd API changes
• App signing for App installations is enabled by default

Crowd 7.0 also includes some new features related:

• Service Accounts REST API with OAuth 2.0
• Use OAuth 2.0 app links to connect to applications
• OAuth 2.0 Security improvements

Service Accounts REST API with OAuth 2.0

Service accounts are specialised, non-user accounts created for secure and efficient management of automated processes and external integrations. You can now create such accounts by using REST APIs with OAuth 2.0 authentication. Explore how to create service accounts with REST API

Use OAuth 2.0 app links to connect to applications

We're introducing OAuth 2.0 support for application links (app links) across Atlassian Data Center products.
