Rovo - Lunch and Learn

We just had an amazing Rovo Lunch and Learn session that was facilitated by Addam Tait from Atlassian. The session was very well received and appreciated. The agenda looked a lot but with Live demo Addam completed and had enough time to answer any questions as well. 

 

  1. Welcome & Objectives (5 min)
    • Introductions.
    • Session goals and what attendees will learn.
  2. Rovo Foundations: Teamwork Graph & Product Overview (10 min)
    • Teamwork graph: unified, permission-aware data layer.
    • Rovo components:
      • Search, Chat, Agents, Studio.
  3. Rovo Search & Chat Deep Dive (10 min)
    • Universal semantic search across Atlassian + connectors.
    • Permissions and connector setup at McKesson.
    • Chat use cases: summaries, briefings, cross-tool questions.
  4. Rovo Agents & SDLC Use Case (15 min)
    • What Rovo Agents are and where they help.
    • SDLC example:
      • Traditional workflow vs. Rovo-powered workflow.
      • Theme Analyzer, Product Requirements Expert, Issue Organizer, Readiness Checker.
    • Time savings and quality improvements.
  5. Live Demo: Rovo in Jira (15 min)
    • Prioritization: “What should I work on next?”
    • Improving ticket descriptions and linking Confluence content.
    • Suggesting child work items.
    • Story Readiness Checker via automation.
    • Agents in context:
      • Dashboard Insights.
      • Jira Theme Analyzer.
      • Release Notes Drafting.
  6. RovoDev Overview for Developers (10 min)
    • Why RovoDev (outer loop automation, DevOps overhead).
    • Key use cases (tests, vulnerabilities, reviews, governance).
    • Impact metrics and how teamwork graph powers RovoDev.
    • Offer for a dedicated RovoDev deep-dive session.
  7. Enablement & Next Steps (10 min)
    • Atlassian Community & feature updates.
    • Atlassian University: Rovo learning paths and courses.
    • Workshops, office hours, and YouTube playlists.
    • Synchrony specifics:
      • Access rules.
      • Existing connectors and how to request more.
      • FDE / embedded Rovo engineers program.
  8. Q&A and Closing (5–10 min)
    • Live questions.
    • How follow-up questions will be handled async.
  • • Thank you and preview of upcoming sessions.

Glad you enjoyed it, @Sudhanva Ramesh! Would you be able to share some key insights you learned from the session, as many as possible, for those who haven't seen the session?

The lunch and learn was a demo format where Rovo started with Confluence whiteboards and then went upto and until creating issues/features and dive into market insights. It touched on connectors but didnt dive because we haven't enabled the connectors. It also covered creating agents and use of different out of the box agents.
