Bamboo XMPP Conference Plugin - the plugins seem to not working as expected

I installed the plugin on our Bamboo server (Bamboo version 3.3.4.0 build 2719) and configured the IM Server in Bamboo. I'm able to send messages via testing the im server dialog. I added a task in one build plan after the checkout of source comes the task and than the ant task. But the 'bot' doesn't join the room and we get no notifications. Did i something wrong with the setup? I can't find any documentation. That's the reason for asking here. We want to get informed in our group company chat room. It's openfire version 3.7.1. If this wont work, is there any other solution without writing own code? :D
