I designed a board template that I'd like to give away on my youtube channel to students of my "how to start a youtube channel training course but it seems with the free plan I can't make it public or am I mistaken? Or is there a way it could be added to the free plan template section somehow if I was to submit it to trello. Not sure how I would do that either because I've searched on trello to find someone or an email to ask this question and it seems there is no one easily accessible to send to. Anyone know how to contact the admin of trello?
You can make the board public, even on the free plan https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/changing-the-visibility-of-a-board/
ok thanks for that now I sent the link for the board to a friend just to test that they can use and edit the board for their own niche in youtube. They signed up to trello but the template doesn't seem to be editable or have add cards etc. It just seems to be a static board with no dynamic ability that a normal board has? Is there a way to change it to a dynamic board?

If you want others to be able to edit the board then you have to invite them as members using a "board invitation link" https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/inviting-people-by-using-a-shareable-link/

yah that would work but is rather time consuming for me. My intent was to offer this template for people who are wanting to start a youtube channel as a free download hook for video retention and also have them sign up to my email data base. If I make a video about trello, how to utilize, and offer the template as a starting point for their own use and workspace.

@Thomas you should be able to just make the board public and then people can go to that link and copy it and then edit their own versions.
The cards would only be missing if someone clicks copy and then unchecks the option to keep the cards
