Better crosslinking between cards

Scenario: I have created a card named Foo. I have created a card named Bar. I would like to have the contents of each card contain a link to the other.

Current state: I must open up Foo and copy the "share" link, open up Bar and paste in the link to Foo, copy Bar's share link, go back to the Foo card and paste Bar's link in there.

Desired state: I can demarcate the text Foo and Bar with double square brackets or similar syntax to automatically create a link to the card of the same name.

For para 2 you can use the attachment card button to find “Trello” and enter the card you want to connect. A new attachment (cardlink) is added and you can click on the “connect” to create a bidirectional link. Try it. 

For para 3, not sure what you want but Butler can be used to link cards.
