Following the security advisory (https://confluence.atlassian.com/sourcetreekb/sourcetree-security-advisory-2017-05-10-900820365.html) I started using Sourcetere 2.0.20.1. I am using 2FA on github so I generated a new personal access token with "repo" access to use with the new version of sourcetree.
When I enter the token in the github login popup while pulling the output is:
Logon failed, use ctrl+c to cancel basic credential prompt.
remote: Invalid username or password.
I have double-checked that the token does not contain any whitespace at either end and that my github username is correct. What other troubleshooting steps can I take?
I re-did my OAuth with github under Tools->Options->Authentication
Then I did a pull from the repo. (Had never been done before because it was a fresh clone.)
Then it worked again.
