As software developers, we face challenges to meet product development goals and objectives. We depend on productivity tools like Jira to simplify our workday and adhere to emerging information governance pressures to protect company and employee confidential information.
Given that most of the Jira Service Desks issues are transaction-oriented, the use of MS Office files attached as part of a workflow is common-place. The current workaround process to view office file attachment is problematic and time-consuming . The integrated viewer does not render office files, thus requiring users to download content and use MS Office which introduces possible information governance policy risks.
