Any trick to RSVP'ing for a local event?

I'm logged into the https://community.atlassian.com/ website and I see the announcement about the November 5th meeting. I click that and am now on a new website and am no longer logged in. Why should I have to create yet another login? This seems like excessive UX.

Hey Bruce! So glad to see that an event piqued your interest and that you wanted to RSVP. It may seem like excessive UX but the online community and event management are two separate systems. If you’re logged into the community, you’re most likely logged in with your Atlassian Account. You are more than welcome to log in with that same Atlassian Account to the event management system. In an ideal world, these systems would be under one log in and we’re really sorry that this is inconvenient. We do hope that completed your RSVP and that the event is everything you hope that it will be. Thanks!
