Switching of Org admin

I would like to switch out our Organisation Admin to my account as my org admin has left the company. I do not have access to both the account and email. How can I switch out? Please help.

Hello @Joey Tan ,

 

As your previous organization admin left , and you don't have access to his / her email account. 

You can raise this concern to your billing contacts who paying Jira / confluence monthly/annual charged. those may direct have word with Atlassian billing team.

or

You can raise a support ticket to Atlassian Support. You will get some more info, how to change the details.

But as we are using the free version, seems like we cannot entitled for account support. I have also asked the technical side and they say that Atlassian are not authorised to make any user management on the customer's instances for security reasons.

Any other ways that I can try?

Sorry Joey, yeah, there is no support for free cloud subscription.

For the moment, the easiest way to go seems to gain access to the old mail box the Org Admin used. You mentioned somebody from the "technical side", probably an IT department of you - you would need to work with them to re-enable the inbox for at least a few minutes so you can receive a mail (which would be, of course, a password reset of your former Org Admins account).

The "technical side" I was referring to is Atlassian. Our IT department does not allow gaining of old account mailbox sadly..

Then there are not much options.

You could reach out to Atlassian Billing Support - like roughly stated here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Atlassian-Access-questions/Only-Org-Admin-left-the-company-and-does-not-cooperate/qaq-p/1473585

If this won't work out it is a lost case as you won't get back to Org Admin.
