Hi there
With Trello being added to Atlassian Access, we're now faced with a large number of new managed accounts that we need to deactivate. It's taking a lot of time, so I'd like to know if there is a way to bulk deactivate users, e.g. import a csv?
The 'modify managed users' page on Atlassian Support only provides instructions for deactivating a single user at a time.
Thanks!
Hi Eleanor,
You can also use this plugin: User Management for Jira Cloud to filter users who haven't use their Atlassian account for a while and bulk deactivate all of them in just one click.
Hello Eleanor,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
When using Atlassian access or User management, currently, there is no option to bulk edit, delete, deactivate users.
There are some feature requests suggesting the implementation of this ability:

It is not Bulk, it's in batches per page. Please fix this, Atlassian Access customers should be able to filter and take action on ALL users without clicking through pages and pages for hours. Yes, some customers have thousands of users. Please start thinking of them and not just the 50-200 user businesses!

Eleanor,
Thank you for your valuable feedback. As an organization admin, you are able to bulk deactivate/reactivate user accounts on the Managed Accounts page. Visit this page: http://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/deactivate-a-managed-account-961259517.html to learn more.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about this feature!

Hi Avni,
Unfortunately that still isn't providing what we're all asking for - you can only 'bulk select' the users shown on that page, and the filters are so basic it's rare you can filter to get the people you want to deactivate.
What we're asking for is the same feature you have for adding members to policies where you can upload a csv of emails and they are bulk added. The same method for deactivation / activation would be hugely appreciated.
Kind regards,
Lindsey

I have yet found a way to bulk update managed accounts. There are some plugins for user management, but it is at the instance-level not the organization level, as far as I can tell.

Hi @KJ
Have you tried User Management by Toros? It allows you to manage your organizations' users, perform bulk operations and more.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Proper disclosure - I'm one of the developers of the app.

@Tom Keidar Funny you should ask as I am looking at that today and came to the community looking for info.
Can you automate the tool to run every day to look at users that haven't logged in in x number of days and deactivate them?
I see this works at the organizational level. We have 3 instances. Would we have to purchase this plugin for each instance.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the functionality of this plugin with you.

@KJ automated deactivation is definitely part of our roadmap but isn't available at the moment.
Would love to hear more ideas, you can reach me out at tom@torosapps.com

If you are using Confluence the Bulk User Upload Management Utility does bulk user operations like activate/deactivate. It also can create users, update user properties, and change user/group memberships... all in bulk.
