We are trying to migrate to Jira cloud and setup SSO using Okta on cloud. We need to claim accounts before we can integrate Okta. But, I need to understand how will claiming accounts impact users outside of our domain sharing the boards with our domain users. For example, if a team is sharing the jira cloud instance with a client and they have users from multiple email domains, how will our claiming accounts affect the experience of users from client's domain. Will they still be able to access those boards, even after we have implemented Okta?

When verifying a domain and using SSO, it will affect only customers from that specific domain. For example, verifying mydomain.com and implementing SAML will make these users be redirected from Atlassian to the identity provider to log in and then be redirected back to xxxxxx.atlassian.net.
Users that are not from the domain, will log in normally direct on xxxxxx.atlassian.net with their Atlassian account.
