Hi!
If you use the Data-Center products then Atlassian supports a basic implementation of SAML already out of the Box: https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/saml-single-sign-on-for-atlassian-data-center-applications-857050705.html
If you need more advanced Features (encryption, single logout, user provisioning etc) or if you are a Server customer, then you need a 3rd Party plugin. Here is an overview: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=jira&query=saml
The first hit & most installed solution is the one we develop.
You have not written anything about our environment, but if you can support SAML (via AD FS for example) then you probably won't need Kerberos. AD FS can terminate Kerberos via Windows Integrated Authentication. As Kerberos is restricted to domain-joined devices only, if you wanted to support other devices/outside the Firewall access, you would need to go SAML anyway.
If you share a bit more about your environment then we can give you some more advice.
Also if you want a quick impression of our plugin here are

Thanks for recommending our app here @Payne .
With our Kantega SSO Enterprise app you can setup Kerberos directly into Jira, and the setup is quite simple.
Our support team is available to answer any question about how to setup optimal SSO solutions, also for organizations with multiple user groups with different login and access requirements.
