Can you reactivate a managed account as unmanaged?

Jeroen De Cock August 1, 2022

A user was created by going from our internal directory to Atlassian Access.

When removing the user from the AD-group which syncs to Atlassian Access, the user is deactivated in Atlassian Access.

Is there any possibility in reactivating the user in Atlassian Access but as an unmanaged account (so they can have free Trello access without being billed with Atlassian Access license)?

Hi @Jeroen De Cock ,

please have a look at the following support article: Understand authentication policies

This should enable you to move that user to a non-billable policy (without SSO).

Please note that you can't add users you sync from your identity provider to the non-billable policy.

Hello @Dave Mathijs , how can I make sure that a user that was once synced from our identity provider is not synced anymore so we can move him/her to the non-billable policy?
