Elements Copy & Sync on premise (Server & Data Center) has recently released some new features, which will help you more easily manage issue linking and comment synchronization in Jira. We even improved in the app administration. Let's take a look at the most recent features.
When clients create bugs or incidents through your Jira Service Desk portal, you might want your agents to be able to link those with a "problem" issue. This can help you understand the scope of the problem. But native Jira options mean agents can either create any type of link, or none, and it's easy to make a mistake and link bugs or incidents to wrong issues, especially if you have lots of issue types. Elements Copy & Sync now allows you control precisely how issues can be linked with each other through customizable Data Panels.

Elements Copy & Sync allows you to synchronize comments between issues, even in different projects. For example, comments written by developers working on a bug fix in their project can be synchronized with the Jira Service Desk where a customer submitted the bug. With the recent releases, we've improved how public and private comments are synchronized with JSD. We've added an option to synchronize JSD comments depending on their visibility (internal or public) and made it possible to keep the original visibility of comments when they are synchronized, even to a different JSD project.
We've also added a visual cue 🏳️ to let Jira users know when a comment is synchronized.
Synchronized comments stand out from regular ones by displaying a flag with details you can configure such as the original issue and author.

Elements Copy & Sync on premise has a lot of powerful features, but we realized that configuring all the options could get confusing because of the way the app administration was organized. Instead of a long list of fields and options, we've organized the configuration into tabs. For example, when configuring a synchronization, you'll now see four tabs for Issues, Author, Fields, and Comments.
When configuring a Data Panel, you'll now see three tabs for Display, Content, and Actions.
