modify transition in existing (default?) workflow

Michael Gomeau December 20, 2022

Hello !

I am trying to modify a transition in an existing workflow.

To get to the workflow, I click on view workflow in an issue and it opens the diagram and I click on Edit Workflow.

From there I think I need to modify a transition to give it a screen but I do not have the option.

All I can do is  add a rule but I do not see anything related to a "screen".

Any suggestion ? Thanks.

Hi @Michael Gomeau,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

I assume you are using a team-managed project since you are seeing rules which is in the new workflow editor that currently only is available in a team-managed project. Anyways, team-managed projects do not allow you to add a transition screen, that is only available in company-managed projects.

Thanks !
You are right, I am using team-managed project. bummer.

Is it possible to migrate a team-managed project in a company-managed project ?

Or would I need to start a company-project from scratch ?

You cannot convert a team-managed project to a company-managed project, the only thing you can do is create a new company-managed project and then use bulk change to move the issues over. You will find the bulk change under Filters > Advanced issue search and after your created a filter that select all issue in your original project you will find the bulk change under the three-dot menu up in the right-hand corner.
