missing worklog entry (null) when sending notification from code using the worklog templates (html)

We implemented some code for users get notified by events independent from the notification settings in the projects. We developed our own plugin therefore. Everything is running fine in principle, but we struggle with the logwork templates, as it always states null for the worklog entry parameter. So I guess we need some context variable being set, but we don't know which one exactly. Can you provide us further input?

this is basically the code snipped that sets up the notification and sends it for work logged event:
