how can i automate custom field date equals to due date?

Actually i have created custom field date and i want to automate the date that i filled in custom date field should be automatically filled into due date. Is there any way i can automate

Hi @Chessensei and welcome to the community,

You can either use:

• Jira automation and copy the value from your CF to the due date
• Use a workflow post function, if that CF of your use populated during a transition, to copy the value to the due date.

You should be able to use the date equals smart values explained here: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-smart-values-date-and-time/

Do make sure that the field types are the same else the equality will fail

@Ismael Jimoh the isEqual smart value will return a boolean (true/false). It will not copy any value to another.
