when i am trying to move issue status from one status to another like IN progress to Done. You cant move this issue to this column due to work flow configuration or permissions

Hello @Sai,

Check if what the error message is saying is correct. There's basically two possible causes here:

1/ the workflow linked to the issue you are trying to move does not have a transition specified to go from in progress to done. Or there is a transition in place, but a condition does not allow you to update the status to done. Check the workflow and update accordingly.

2/ you do not have one of the following permissions in the project where the issue is stored: transition issues, resolve issues, close issues. If you are on a free plan, that is rather unlikely since every user has admin permissions on all projects. However, if this is the case, update your project permissions accordingly.

Ah, my bad, I figured it out... I did not map the status correctly. I had "In progress" mapped to the column, while the actual status that had to be mapped when I made it work was sitting on the left in the "Unmapped statuses" panel as "Observe...". When I removed the "In progress" and put the one named after my column, it all worked. Thank you, @Walter Buggenhout !
