Writing service, com.onresolve.jira.groovy.GroovyService was not found

strope.cory September 21, 2020

I am working in an air-gapped system. I am copying the script and actions as done in the youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ThTpypQqTI

As I set up the system in the JIRA Core v8.2.3 server, under the system->services, I set the class to com.onresolve.jira.groovy.GroovyService, I get the error "Class [com.onresolve.jira.groovy.GroovyService] was not found. Ensure that you have typed it correctly and it is in the classpath. Class"

How do I check to find if com.onresolve.jira.groovy.GroovyService is in the classpath, or whether it is on my system at all.

This is Scriptrunner v6.9.0.

Response from Adaptivist:

Thanks for raising a ticket with us.

Starting from Scriptrunner v5.6.10, we'd moved the Services and Escalation Services to Script Jobs. Please find the release notes or the discussion in Atlassian community.

To get you started in Script Jobs, please refer to the document.

I hope this would help you!

In keeping with the video, however, there are missing/changed library files:

com.atlassian.web.bean, PagerFilter does not exist in the file path.

An additional error came from com.atlassian.jql.parser.JqlQueryParser; I was able to find what seems to be the new location for this at com.atlassian.jql.parser.DefaultJqlQueryParser

Followed up with Adaptivist for these libraries.
