Need help setting up Release Kanban board for multiple company managed projects to access. Not sure the best approach to take. Would appreciate any suggestions and help.
Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance,
Cynthia
Hi @Cynthia - When you say "Release Kanban" what are you expecting to see/have happen? Releases are per project and there is a lot of value in keeping them that way because of native reports/visibility.
If your intent is to just have visibility into all of the release activity going on, you could just have placeholder cards for each project/release. To do this, you could set up automation that every time a version is created, a simple placeholder task with the due date set to the release date. Then include all of those placeholder tasks in your kanban board filter.
If you're looking for something more, please provide a little more detail.
@Mark Segall - Mark thank you for the suggestions. In our server environment every squad fell under the same project. A board filter were created based on status and a component for the project team doing the releases was added to each project to create the connection and I was trying to recreate that setup in cloud. However, your suggestions appear to be a better approach moving forward so I will investigate that option.
Thanks again!!!
