I'm managing my project with my team on the free version but I couldn't access the board this morning because I got the message "

Your subscription for Atlassian Cloud hasn't been renewed.
If you're a site admin, go to admin.atlassian.com
View the site bill to update your payment details."

What can I do to retrieve my projects data and tickets?

Hello @Akanbi kanyinsola

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Are you the person that created this Jira instance, or was it created for you by somebody else? Are you able to navigate to the https://admin.atlassian.com link and find the Organization and the Billing page for the Jira site/product?

If you are not the Organization Admin or the Billing Admin you may have to find the people in your organization who do have those permissions.

It is possible that the number of licensed users for your instance has exceeded the limit of 10 for a Free instance. If that is the case, the Billing and Technical contacts for the product subscription should've received emails warning that the site would be suspended unless the licensed user count was reduced or payment details were added to allow billing for a paid subscription.

At this point administrative access will be needed to determine the actual state and determine how to proceed.

If you did exceed your licensed user count, you will have to pay for the period of time while the site was in that state in order to regain access. After that, you could reduce the licensed user count to 10 or less and downgrade back to the Free subscription.
