Too much white blank space on top of the board

There is too much white blank space on top of the board and this is annoying and impractical, since it takes up space from the board, which is the main thing on that screen

While we might be in agreement with you, and would like to see something different there, the Community is not the best place to request that. We are here to help with solving some problems you might have to cannot make changes to the actual tool. 

Your best route is to submit something to support in the form of a feature request.
