Hi support, I have a question.
My company is considering the possibility of adopting Jira Software for managing the IT team's projects but I have a doubt about the features of the software.
Coming to the point, in our case, a project could be associated with one or more companies in the group with different percentages, for example:
Project 1
- company A: 50%
- company B: 20%
- company C: 30%
The percentages are defined a priori and are to be applied to all phases of the project.
One to more technicians could work on a project and, every day, they must enter the number of hours on the time tracker based on how much they have actually worked on each individual activity.
At the end of the project, or on an annual/half-yearly/other basis, we must extract the total number of hours of all the technicians who worked on the project, example:
Project 1
- technician A: 100 hours
- technician B: 50 hours
TOTAL: 150 hours
However, the report must also split the hours based on the percentages of the companies involved, for example:
- company A at 50%: 75 hours
- company B at 20%: 30 hours
- company C at 30%: 45 hours
Is it possible to manage this logic with Jira?
Thank you
Hi @Mauro ,
Yes, this is possible. Here are my initial thoughts on how to help you:
You can create a custom field to track the company percentage and the number of hours worked on each issue.
