Share a custom field across teams for easy filtering.

We use several custom fields across our development teams (that all use separate team managed projects), 

Let's say one custom field would be platform with choices of "iOS, Android, Chrome, Safari..." 

It would be very helping if we could share this field across all teams thus enabling to search a single ID filter for say, issues across all teams on iOS. 

Is there a way to do it?

No, but yes.

Team-managed projects share the core system fields already, but that's of no help to you.

Then they implement their own private custom fields (which is horrid for any group of teams, because they can't collaborate on the same data, the search starts offering many fields of the same name with no clue as to which project they belong to, and horrid for the admins because they can't tell either)

However, Atlassian have recently introduced proper (company managed) custom fields into TMPs - as long as a custom field has a global context, you can now add it to TMPs as well.

(Cue exodus of projects from their own local fields for things that need to be shared)

Thanks for the answer, I think I found it and have managed to share a custom field to a separate project. 

However, in the case of a multiple selection field, I cannot find where to add new options to the existing list.
