Response Time (Custom Field Configurations)

This article shows the impact of adding more custom fields on response time. However, I have noticed that in my company only one custom field configuration is used, namely the default one (500 custom field entries).

Is it possible to reduce response time by adding custom field configurations to projects that need much less than all available custom fields?

For example, I am managing projects that only need around 50 of all those custom fields.

Also, I am very interested in learning more about the Impact of other factors on response time like:

1. Amount of custom statuses
2. Amount of custom screens
3. Amount of schemes
4. ...
