Hi All!
I have a question about jira work management
I see that there is no possibility to create other boards other than the one associated to the only workflow in the proyect (I have a proyect created by default using a template just to test)
can I have multiple workflows in a jira core project? what about the boards? how do I create a new board for the additional workflows? is it disigned to have only one workflow?
Thanks in advance
Ro
Jira Work Management have only simplified version of Kanban board in shape you know from Jira Software. You do not have such freedom to configure it.
You can find documentation about that matter here. - please check Board troubleshooting section on this page.
In a nutshell there are 2 main cases in which you might not be able to see your issues on the board:
So you can have multiple workflows but that may cause that you won't be able to see your issues on your Jira Work Management Board.
Best regards,
Piotr
Thanks @Piotr Zadrożny _Eyzee_
So this means that litteraly JIRA Core force you to work with only one workflow?
if not how is the best way to implement a proyect with multiple workflows with only one board?
Thanks in advance,
Ro

Well @Rosana Casilli , using board is only one of the ways you can work on issues on Jira Core. There are lot more options over there like list, calendar or timeline. You can also use good old Issues view:
You can use boards if you will have the same statuses on every associated workflow.
If you require flexible board to work on issues consider purchasing Jira Software with full support for Kanban and Scrum boards.
Best,
Piotr

Thank you so much @Piotr Zadrożny _Eyzee_
I have Jira Software already, but since everyone was talking about Jira Work management and how great it is and that it is great for other groups that are not software involved I thought it could help. Now I realize that is better to stay with jira software even though I have teams that are not software involved
Why Adding a kanban board if it can't be customized?
Why implementing jira work management if I have multiple workflows for different process in a team?
I think I have my decision made.
Thanks again!!

@Piotr Zadrożny _Eyzee_ well, in this case, can you just let me know how do I choose which workflow to view in the JIra business project board? Or is it just random and no choice can be made!

Yes, I'd like to know the answer to this as well. It seems that the board is arbitrarily selecting one of the custom workflows that has been created (the first one created I think). I want it to use a different custom workflow but I see no way to change it. This makes the board completely useless to me. Surely, there is a way to resolve this.

Agree, this is absolutely ridiculous that we cannot leverage the board feature with multiple workflows. I'm not a techy but I guess it's not rocket science to find a solution, to let us do a mapping between workflow statuses with board columns or even provide a basic "To Do", "In Progress" and "Done" board based on the Status category.

I would also love for the ability to use multiple workflows on a jira work management project. Or at least confirm what workflow to use.
