Problem: Completed tasks end up in the new sprint.

Martin Wannowius May 26, 2020

Hello

I have a problem with the jira next gen board:

Everytime when I complete a Sprint within the Jira-App (Android) all completed Tasks end up in the new Sprint.

They are labled as e.g. "Sprint KW 20 +2"

Whats the problem? Is it a bug in the next-gen board?

When you say a task is complete, do you mean it is in the last column of the board?

I think this is the problem: The last column is the column for our "Blocked" Tasks.

It's a pity we are forced to place the "Done" column on the far right! I configured the "Done" column to set the resolution of a task to "Resolved". So why is it necessary to place it on the far right? :-(

My Bad: I didn't recognize the green check in the coloumn title...

Hello Martin,

If you do the same via the normal JIRA web page you get prompted about what to do with any tasks which are not complete - you can either move these to the backlog or into the next sprint.

The completed tasks do not end up in a new sprint.

Sounds like an issue with the Android app rather than next-gen board. Does it behave as expected if you use the JIRA web page?

I will try it on monday when the new sprint starts.

Today I tried the website and the problem does not occur.

Thanks Martin. This looks like a bug with the Android app, rather than being to do with the Next-gen board.

The same problem occurred on the website today :-/

Do you have any suggestions? Or should I write an email to atlassian support?
