As a part of our normal activity, we use JIRA to communicate internally AND externally with specific clients and companies.

We have one company in particular that has asked to "shutoff" all JIRA notifications as it is creating double work for them.

Is it possible for use to disable JIRA notifications to this one particular company?  Using rules or other settings?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Darren White
In fact, the notifications can be configured by the users of the external company themselves. All they have to do is navigate to this link (https://<your-site>.atlassian.net/jira/settings/personal/notifications). There, users can decide for themselves whether they want to receive notifications and if so, in what way. This can even be configured on a project basis.

Hi @Darren White

Welcome to the community!

  • Option1: You may create a new role for this user, separate from the others, and then update the notification scheme to include only the roles of those individuals to whom you wish to send notifications.
  • Option2: Disable the current notification scheme and implement Automation to send notifications to the relevant individuals involved with the issues.

I hope this helps!

Best regards

Sam
