I have already wrote a ticket here
My Problem is, the the server will reject this with a long stack trace.
The mention functionality is mandatory for the work with tickets. Since this is broken with a 8 -> 9 update, this issues is a pain for us.

Did you ever contact support? The post you linked above the issues were resolved in older versions and should not be an issue in the version you have.
