The Linked Issues column in Filters no longer displays all of linked issues, they're now hidden under a new +1 widget, and requires multiple clicks to display:
The most useful aspect of the old display was quickly scanning for issues that have all linked issues resolved.
I need some way to review all open issues that have all linked issues resolved.
This change is a typical example of someone adding a "new cool feature" that ruins a perfectly running solution.
Instead of quick highlighting all the issues for a certain project with a Find in a browser, now I have to click at least 2-3 times to open those +1 +2 link.
Absolutely useless and time wasting.
At least there should be a way to choose between old and new way of displaying linked issues.
But of course, no one will hear this.
Let's see what other usefull feature will be ruined next.
Hi @Sean Lively
there have been a number of visual changes to this view recently, and I could imagine that this is one of them. I'm not personally aware of any way to configure this, but perhaps someone else has an idea.
Also Sean, I don't know if this problem justifies additional tooling for you, but just to put it out there in case it is useful:
If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on: JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a long list of so-called smart columns that aren’t natively available, including your issues' linked issue statuses.
In combination with JXL's rich column filtering options, I believe that your use case could be solved very nicely:
I should add that JXL can do much more than the above: From support for configurable issue hierarchies, to issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
