When I configure the permission named "Browse Project",and choose only the "reporter" can browse this project. A prompt appeared.

It means all the logged in users can browse this project.

However, I found that only reporter can browse the issues in this project actually, which means this rule works.  This makes me very confused.

Plz tell me why, thx.

Hi @李满园

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

When you add the "Reporter" to the "Browse Project" Permission of one project. This project instantly becomes visible to ALL users(via the project table portlet), if they have any kind of permission to see this project or not. So all users can see this project, but can't see any issues within it.

Better approach is to Configure issue-level security for your use case. Please refer Limit users to only browse issues assigned to/reported by them in Jira Cloud for more details.

So "browse this project" and "browse issues in this project" is separated in this case,  got it.

Thank u.
