We currently use Jira provided by a 3rd party and we are planning to get our own so I subscribe to the free 30 days. The left side bar is totally different (I dont see Backlog, active sprint, releases, etc...). How can i get that? Have been a Jira user but not an Admin to need to learn admin side pretty quickly. Thanks for helping
Hello @Christine Lamonde ! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Without viewing a screenshot of your Jira project, I can guess that maybe you're set up as a Kanban project. That would prevent you from seeing a Backlog entry on the sidebar.
You also may be missing some project-based permissions (schedule Issues comes to mind).
Could you add a screenshot?
The top is what I see in my new one and the bottom is what I want. I have yest to figure how to create sprint....one day at a time lol

Hello @Christine Lamonde
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
What you are seeing (where it says Overviews at the top) is an example of a Jira Work Management project.
The option to create Sprints is limited to the Jira Software Product.
It is possible to subscribe to only the Jira Work Management product. Alternately you may subscribe to the Jira Software product and then have access to both Jira Work Management and Jira Software types of projects.
For more information about the different types of projects, here are some references.
